Now within the European
union, and slightly smaller in land area
than the United Kingdom, Romania
is set in Southeastern Europe bordering
the Black Sea and lies between Bulgaria and The Ukraine with
the Danube River as a border.
Romania is emerging as a
great tourist destination and is a little less expensive to visit than other parts
of Europe. It has a population of around 23 million with quaint
historic towns, mountains and forests with architecture from the
medieval (Transylvanian Gothic) to emerging modern European styles.
In
Bucharest the capital city you will find an excellent
selection of hotels, restaurants, live floor shows,
nightclubs, a casino, gaming halls and discos as well
as a variety of very beautiful women or men to escort

and an
important part of the national economy and there have been many

lots of snow from mid December - end of March.
The Carpathian Mountains cross Romania from the
north to the southwest. (Mt. Moldoveanu at 2544 m or 8346 ft is the
tallest peak) In the mountains, Poiana Brasov is a popular winter
ski resort with year around recreation from forest walks and
climbing, and Mt Postavarul resort has many ski slopes including
slalom. As you travel outside the cities you will find
orchards and vineyards and fields of cereals, vegetables, herbs and
other crops.
Romania lies in the same time zone with Moldova,
Greece, Israel, Egypt and South Africa.
