Put aside your fantasies and dreams, be realistic. Street workers are all to often a target for very dangerous people. Occasionally in NZ there are murders, quite often there are beatings and robbing, In the larger international cities, sex workers are abducted, beaten and killed every day.

With the glamour and glitz associated with displaying your cute ass in public, it is still a job and you have to teat it as such. Getting paid is your priority as is giving your customer value for money.

Keeping Safe:

• One
  Establish friendly relationships with other girls on the street, and watch out for them as they do for you.

• Two
  Report the ugly mugs and suspicious characters straight away either to NZPC or the police, the longer you leave this the harder it becomes. (Although prostitution is not legal, the police are likely to support & watch out for you as they do not want to be fishing your body out of the river)
  When you report these characters, you are not only helping to keep yourself safe, you are keeping your kids and families safe.

• Three
  Always be alert and on guard. If you are having a bad day, don't work.

• Four
  Before getting into a car, make a mental note of the car details, make colour, rego.

• Five
  Take a good look at your client, appearance, manner, etc & listen to your gut feeling. If you don't like/trust him, don't get in.

• Six
  Check the inside door handle to make sure that you can get out, many cars now have automatic locking, so you have to decide if it is worth the risk.

• Seven
  When you de get in, touch the window, dash and other spots to leave good sets of finger prints. Avoid going to isolated places.

• Eight
  If taking clients home, try to work in pairs or have a minder, someone who knows what you are doing. They can also note the clients car details.

• Nine
  If you don't have anyone to watch out for you, you can make out you are expected, or are meeting someone soon so that the agreed time is not gone past.

• Ten
  If you do get into trouble in a car, pull your legs up to protect yourself and use as a weapon. kick and smash the stereo and dashboard and scream like hell and get out as quick as you can.
